ENGG WORKSHOP

The WORKSHOP covers nearly 700 sqm where the candidates get their hands on experience. This workshop has machines like lathes, welding machines, Sheet-working equipment, Carpentry equipment, plumbing equipment and smithy equipment. The candidates are given training in all these areas to equip them with all basic entry level operations that a candidate needs to know.

MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY WORKSHOP

The Manufacturing Technology workshop is for candidates to get trained in all major machining equipment. The workshop covering an area of 700 sq m has all major machining equipment such as center lathes, engine lathes, Capstan lathes and turret lathes. It also consists of special machines like Gear Hobber, Surface grinder, Cylindrical Grinder, Vertical and horizontal milling machines, Shaping machines and high tech measuring instruments like dynamometers and optical microscopes. The workshop also boasts of computer operated Lathes and milling machines. In this workshop the candidate gains a thorough knowledge of all the major machines used in shop floors and factories.

IC ENGINES WORKSHOP

This workshop covering an area of 660 sq m is mainly for experimenting with IC engines. Internal combustion engines or IC engines which are the ones used in two wheelers, cars and Buses and trucks. Here the candidates gain hands on knowledge working with both the cut models of the engines and working engines.

There are many engines here like single cylinder petrol engine, four cylinder petrol engines and four cylinder diesel engines. There are many engines in each variety each coupled to electrical, hydraulic and mechanical loads to study their characteristics under various conditions. There is a data logger too which collects data electronically and analyses the data with the help of advanced softwares. This workshop also boasts of a steam turbine and boiler set up.

DSP LAB

Digital Signal Processing (DSP) is concerned with the representation of signals as a sequence of numbers and the operations carried out on the signals to extract specific information contained in them. The objective of the workshop is to enable the candidates simulate and experiment with digital signals and systems and apply the theory they have studied in DSP courses. Candidates can implement digital signal processing algorithms using different computational platforms and DSP tools. They can critically analyze the behavior of their implementation, and observe the specific limitations inherent to the computational platform and tools.

MICROWAVE LAB

The mission of this workshop is to design , analyze the characterization of RF and Microwave components This workshop is equipped to carry out basic microwave measurements, such as impedance, power, frequency, VSWR, etc., using waveguide technology. In addition to supporting these courses, the workshop also provides the necessary equipment for the candidates to perform their projects. Microwave Workshop is meant for experiments at the instructional level for undergraduate candidates. The workshop is completely air conditioned.

APPLIED ELECTRONICS

The workshop is equipped with all necessary devices and instruments required for performing experiments related to basic electronics and integrated circuits. The candidates are able to work on circuits consisting of analyze components and integrated circuits on IC trained kits and breadboards
